Thoughts
There are multiple books I am working through currently.
- Imitation of Christ is a very good read. It makes me introspect and think a lot on things where I am missing the mark. Not really a hard read, but something that for me needs to be taken in small bites so it can process.
- The Papist Represented is a small book I picked up and the copy was published in the late 1800s. This book is amazing and is giving me snippets of where my Catholic faith should be.
- Father Brown Mysteries (various books) have been playing on Audible while driving. Usually very short and satisfying mysteries.
- Trent's Last Case is a book my wife got me for Christmas. E.C. Bently was a friend of Chesterton. The book has started a bit slow but a couple chapters in has really hit a good stride. This is one I'm afraid to pick up because I feel like I could pass multiple hours reading it.
Things that you get used to living with farms animals around.
- The smell of poop. There is going to be some. There is also a good poop smell and a bad poop smell. I did have some intial intro to this by having multiple children.
- Often there will be a repeated pop sound. Because the electric fencing has gotten to close to something and it is zapping it repeatedly. Ideally you fix this when you hear it. Many times it just goes on because you are in the middle of another task.
