Scott Kahler is the moniker that was given to me by my parents, and it has worked for me all my years. I have had some alias during my time: Inferno, Blox, Obo, Boogabee and a few other that don't come to mind currently.

I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska on the north side in an area called Havelock. It was a seperate smaller city at one point in time (before my years) and then was incorporated into Lincoln. So it had it's own identity while also being a part of the larger city.

Childhood is what I think was fairly typical. Not that everything was a perfect, but I don't believe my woes and experiences are that far afield of most other lads who did a bulk of their growing up in the 80s.

Primary interests at that point were:

• Swimming competatively - Never that good, though I did make it to State in 100 breast my senior year
• Gaming - Role playing games (D&D, Gurps, Vampire) and board games (Battletech, Shogun, Axis and Allies) took up an impressive amount of my youthful brain
• Computers - Got an early Commadore 64 with tape drive and wrote a lot of programs
• Video Gaming - Grandparents had an Atari and the was amazing. We got one later and then over the years upgraded to NES. We weren't the first to get those types of things. I suspect I may have played them more than others though.
